In South Africa elephants in game parks are regularly “culled”, which means killed. I find this sickening. It was in this context that “conservationists” discussed sterilising female elephants in order to reduce the elephant population. Sadly, there is no good outcome for the elephants, particularly as humans continue to breed and need more space on our planet.
